I'm Haley and I'm a science writer for MIT's Lincoln Laboratory, where I write for The Bulletin, the Laboratory's internal newsletter. Though I’ve loved writing since I was young, my background is in astrophysics. I earned my bachelor’s in physics from the University of Vermont and my master’s degree and PhD in physics from West Virginia University, where my research focused on super dense neutron stars called pulsars. I began science writing for Astrobites during grad school and during my final year, was an American Astronomical Society media fellow in 2021. Outside of writing, I enjoy reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with my golden retriever, Jocelyn Belle!
